About IIC

Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India has established ‘MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster the culture of Innovation among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes while they are informative years.

Major Focus

  1. To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem.
  2. Start-up supporting mechanism in HEIs.
  3. Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of institutions on innovation achievements framework.
  4. Establish function ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas.
  5. Develop better cognitive ability among students.

Function of IIC

  1. To conduct various Innovation, IPR and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by MIC in time bound fashion.
  2. Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
  3. Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
  4. Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
  5. Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.
  6. Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries.

The Enterpreneurship Development Cell (EDC) is launched with a view to encourage students to consider self employment as a career option, provide training in entrepreneurship through modular courses and increase the relevance of management particularly in the non-corporate and under managed sectors.

Goals

  1. To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the College
  2. To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internationalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices

Functions

  1. Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the Colleges;
  2. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
  3. Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes;
  4. Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education;
  5. Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
  6. Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the College, leading to quality improvement;
  7. Acting as a nodal agency of the college for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices
  8. Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining / enhancing the institutional quality;
  9. Development of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the College based on the quality parameters/assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body (like NAAC, NBA, AB) in the prescribed format;
  10. Bi-annual development of Quality Radars (QRs) and Ranking of Integral Unites of Colleges based on the AQAR;
  11. Interaction with SQACs in the pre and post accreditation quality assessment, sustenance and enhancement endeavours.

The Grace Alumni Association has undertaken the task to promote the interest and welfare of Grace College of Engineering and its alumni, to improve the level of communication and promote a positive long-term relationship between alumni and their alma mater, to encourage fellowship among the alumni, to offer ethical, social, and lifelong learning opportunities to our alumni, and to establish a worldwide alumni network. The mission of the association is also to form a bridge between the current students of the university and the alumni when it comes to careers, projects and etc. The Board of Directors were appointed from each passed out batch to work together and make a strong network among the alumni to achieve and uphold their mission.
